We had a wonderful stay at The Mountain Haus! The house felt like a home with all the amenities you could ask for along with incredible views. The location was close to every activity, restaurants, and shops we visited. The home is great for adults or families traveling with children while providing privacy for all. We highly recommend and hope to be able to visit again soon!

Bathrooms were well stocked and even had good toilet paper (not the cheap stuff). Beds were comfortable and there were extra linens. There really wasn’t anything I found wrong the place. Having king size beds in every room was a plus. Only 10 minutes to heavenly village. I highly recommend this place and I would definitely stay again if available on my next visit.

As a with any mountain home, we experienced some bumps. April and team handled them quickly and thoroughly for us. Our only regret was not seeing the neighborhood bear! 😎 A truly fabulous experience for our entire family!!

We had a wonderful stay! This house is so comfortable. Every room was neat and beautiful. The house was equipped with everything you need and the hosts were wonderful and kind. I highly recommend this place.

We travelled with 1 baby, 2 kids, 3 adults, and 2 grandparents. Great location in South Tahoe close to Pioneer Trail which allows access to the shore and other resorts. Kitchen was well stocked with appliances and tools as we cooked every day. The grandparents found the king sized beds very comfortable and the kids liked the game room downstairs and even tried the hot tub for a bit. The stairs were a little tough for the grandparents but they mainly stayed on the upper floor. I was hoping the yard would be a bit more level for snow play but the kids still had fun, also I'd advise to bring your own snow toys as they only had a single sled in the garage. I would stay again, especially with a large family trip!

Our stay was everything we had hoped for in a weekend ski trip up to Tahoe! The place felt like home and was stocked with all the amenities we needed. April and Viktoria were very quick to respond to any questions we had throughout our stay, it made our stay so seamless. Not only was the house beautiful, but it was also very clean. Our group and I loved it and we hope to visit again in the future!

Came for a weekend with old friends to ski and explore Tahoe. Aprils place was great! 10 minutes to the state line. Spacious for the group, pool table room was a blast, and the hiking trail right in the back yard was beautiful. Would highly recommend!

We absolutely adored our retreat at April’s home in Lake Tahoe. The house is perfect for a larger group to enjoy their stay very comfortably; nearly everyone had a king size bed and we had plenty of bathrooms. The deck was a great place to wind down and watch the sunset or see the stars at night. It was great to have access to laundry after long days of hiking! April was an incredible host; she and her team were very responsive before, during, and after our stay. We felt like we could really enjoy the space like it was ours but also have access to the hosts if we needed. I will be returning to Lake Tahoe at some point and, if with a larger group, would definitely book this home again. :-)

We stayed at April’s place for my brothers wedding this past weekend. It was wonderful. We got to be with family and enjoy a beautiful house that was close to heavenly village and was exactly like the photos and description provided. Would 100% stay here again.

This place is great for a family vacation! It has everything you need - baby gate, beach towels, hot tub, pool table - even plates/cutlery for children. The neighborhood is quiet and comfortable and its an easy 5-10 minute drive to most things in South Tahoe.

First time in Lake Tahoe and immediately felt like home here. I never wanted to leave. Clean, tidy, plenty of lounge space for a group and beautiful setting.

Really liked the house, number of bedrooms, etc. We found the items in the house numerous and of high qualiry. Only disappointment was that it was hard to gather as a group in the living room (to chat or watch tv) due to the arrangement of the furniture and the shape of the room. Maybe think about a large sectional? Always got a quick response from either April or Victoria. Thanks also for accommodating our early arrival.

April’s Airbnb was the cutest cabin! took a trip for ten people (five couples) and felt like we all had enough privacy and space to spread out comfortably while still enjoying the two huge common areas together. It was absolutely perfect and about ten minutes away from everything we wanted to do! We would definitely love to go again! 🫶🏼

If I could give this place 6 stars I would! We had two families stay here for a ski vacation. We walked in and everyone loved the place top to bottom. Beautifully decorated, all the amenities you need, extremely comfortable beds and couches and tasteful decorations. The kitchen set-up was amazing with all the tools you ned to make family meals. We had many meals around the large table that seats 10. April was extremely responsive to any questions we had and we loved the welcoming touches provided.

This place came with so many rules and restrictions which my family and I were happy to comply with. However, any Airbnb should include ensuring toilets are functioning properly prior to guest check-in, this is a bare necessity. The toilet in the primary bedroom ran continuously and was non-functional. While the host was responsive to the issue and sent a handyman, we were told the entire toilet would need to be replaced. We chose to go without the toilet to avoid additional disruptions.

This is a great place to stay with top not facilities. April is a great host making sure you have everything you need before and during your stay. Has a hot tub and pool table that were great for downtime. Great location close to downtown Tahoe. Would definitely stay here again.

The location is a bit remote, probably a 15 minute drive to bars and restaurants but that was to be expected and added to the experience. We got a black bear siting from across the street but just watched them from the balcony and left them alone. Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend.

Just book this place!! You won’t regret it. Great location being minutes to town, but also secluded enough to get privacy. The amenities and “little things” were top notch (I.e wonderful smelling lotion at every sink, welcome basket, plenty of sanitizing wipes, and the list goes on). We had a walking one year old baby at the time we stayed here. The baby gates, pack n play, highchair, and sound machine helped us recreate his environment from home leading to smooth stay. 10/10 would stay here again!!

We had an excellent stay at this property. The surroundings are beautiful and quiet, and there is a great selection of beaches and hiking trails nearby. it's also 10 minutes away from the Stateline, so plenty of food options nearby. The hot tub was an excellent touch after a long day. I was pleased with the overall condition of the house and April was very prompt with messaging back from the planning stages all the way throughout our stay.

Really loved this Airbnb - there were 7 of us (all adults) and it was the perfect size. Since it rained for most of the weekend, we ended up spending a lot of time at the house and made use of the board games, pool table, BBQ grill, and backyard Pioneer Trail. The neighborhood is super quiet and peaceful, night time was good for stargazing (we saw a shooting star). The decks are huge and spacious and the house has everything you need for cooking (spices, good quality pots and pans, and induction stove). One highlight is if the house runs out of any necessities, Chris/the host will order it for you on Amazon and have it delivered to the house. Other things just to be aware of is that it’s a small Uber ride from town and the Main Street, and noise carries if you’re outside on the deck. An awesome stay!

Our stay was absolutely amazing! The location is close to a wide variety of activities. The home itself is gorgeous and has all of the amenities that made us feel at home.

My family and another family stayed here for a 4-day trip and we enjoyed our stay so much! The house was plenty spacious for us and a fully stocked kitchen of appliances which came in handy while traveling with kids. They even had a baby gate available which we used the entire time. The one and only downside is that there are a lot of stairs, from the car to the front door, then to the main floor - this can be difficult with toddlers + baby in car seat. Otherwise everything was great - communication, location, house, amenities.

Really amazing stay! April and Viktoria were very responsive and friendly. This is such a beautiful house and close to Heavenly and all of South Lake Tahoe! The only downside was the AC not working well during our stay while it was hot outside and April was unable to get the HVAC servicer during our stay, however, we had a good time otherwise. Additionally, my mom left her jewelry box and April kindly shipped it over to us

Fantastic home. I hosted 4 other couples visiting from NY and we fit beautifully. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need for cooking and it’s truly set-up for a party of 10. I do wish the bathroom off the bonus room was accessible to all instead of only to the guest in that room, it made for the 3 bedrooms upstairs (6 adults) a little crowded. Other then that, it’s a fantastic home with great hosts! One more thing, enjoy your morning coffee on the deck, it’s a beautiful and very peaceful way to start your day.

The amenities of the house were outstanding, including all household necessities and a useful guidebook. The kitchen was well stocked with a large variety of spices, teas, coffees and kitchenware. Very spacious home with a beautiful kitchen with all one's cooking needs. Comfortable beds and lots of hot water. Easy check-in and out. 10 mins to casinos, Heavenly, and shops. In winter we recommend you use a snow-ready vehicle, the road in front of the house is sloped and can be icy.

This place was great! Definitely recommend staying here with a big family or big group of friends. Came for a ski/snowboarding trip and was definitely worth booking. Recommend having chains for your car to park in the driveway *even with all wheel drive) because that was our only issue with this house (but that's not the listers fault).

Well Placed for skiing. We were a group of 9 over Christmas catering mostly for ourselves and the kitchen was very well stocked with equipment. The games room was great and well used as was the hot tub! Rooms were all a good size and beds very comfortable. Downstairs in the master bedroom the heating did not come through as well as upstairs but it was not a major problem. April responded very promptly to questions (not that we had many). In summary an excellent property.

We really enjoyed our stay! The kitchen amenities and supplies were more than we have seen with other Airbnb locations. The only downside was that the internet was down, likely due to a storm that had come through a week before. The bedrooms down stairs are much cooler than the bedrooms upstairs. The space heater does help. It would have been nice to have two for each of the bedrooms. The location is great! It’s easy to get to Heavenly Village which is where we spent a lot of time. I highly recommend this location!

We loved staying at this house in South Lake Tahoe. The house had two large decks to sit and enjoy the views, 5 bedrooms with two different living room spaces and was more stocked with essentials than most places I've stayed before. Communication with April was great. Quick and helpful responses.

Most things went great and the Airbnb was clean! A/C did not seem to work after the first day but we just turned on some fans and made do.

We had a wonderful stay at this home any especially enjoyed the game room and the well stocked kitchen. We cooked all but one meal and were shocked by everything available, it's the best stocked air bnb kitchen we have used and was adequate for our large group. It was a bonus to have so many of our favorite appliances there.

Stayed here for a few days with family&friends. House is huge, fully equipped and lots of rooms. We enjoyed hanging out at the game area where they have a pool table and a small arcade station. Location is about less than 10 minutes to the Heavenly Village and grocery stores. April was prompt with all of my questions.

This is a huge house, in a great location, with lots of room and amenities to accommodate guests. Every family member had their own room and king bed, the hot tub was clean and easy to use, and there were multiple large decks to enjoy morning coffee and dinner with a view. A short walk out the backyard and you get a view of the lake. We really enjoyed the provided games and ample space for family. Quiet neighborhood, close to restaurants, shops, golf, and hiking. We’d stay here again!

Beautiful location. We loved that hiking trail starts right in the backyard. It was snowing during our stay so fireplaces were right on point , warm and cozy. House is very spacy and had everything what we needed from entertainment to all of the cooking accommodations. Also, April was an amazing host. Great location. The house looked exactly like the pictures. Only a few mins away from the town and ski resort. Also may I add that if you take a short walk in the back yard, you’ll have some amazing lake views. My friends and I had plenty of room and the house itself also offers plenty of activities (jacuzzi, pool table, horseshoes, pac man machine, board games) and more. Definitely worth it! Host was super helpful leading up to and during our stay! The place is also soooo beautiful and the rooms were great, if a little cold during the night and early morning. We rearranged the furniture a bit in the living room to create a hang-out space but the entire house has nice places to just chill or play games together. Just be mindful of the stairs and mini steps throughout the house! Would also recommend having cars with AWD or 4WD during the snowy season as the driveway is a bit steep.

Scenic setting yet close to town

Group of 10 for wife’s bday. Loved the game room with pool table and arcade. Had a really great time. Room closest to game room was cold, in fact the many of the bedrooms were vcold and then got warm as the night went on to the point I took off a blanket. Something wonky with heating. Maybe need to set it much sooner upon arrival. Could never get the hot tub past like 93 degrees. The kitchen was great, had everything we needed. Nice big dining table. We brought our own Bluetooth speakers, so can’t attest to any AV equipment they had, but it looked dated. The WiFi worked well for all of us. All in all, highly recommend this house, had a fun time!

This is an awesome house for a large family reunion or several families! Great location and quick responses from hosts for any questions. Close to town and the hiking trails behind the house were great. The kitchen was overstocked with supplies and spices! We would definitely return.

This location is perfect if you’re looking for a Mountain View but still close to everything in South Lake Tahoe. There are great hiking trails behind the house and the space is exactly how it is described. We had 10 adults and one toddler and it was plenty of space for everyone. Would definitely return!

We rented the house for a vacation with our children & grandchildren. The house was clean, the beds were comfortable and the location was unbeatable! The views from the deck is unbelievable! The kitchen is very well stocked; it had everything we needed. We loved walking right out the backyard to the hiking trails. We definitely recommend this house & hope to stay in it again.

If you’re looking for a larger home in Lake Tahoe, look no further, Chris’s place is outstanding. We were two families with 4 teens and everyone agreed they loved this home. There was more than enough room. The kids enjoyed the pool table and hot tub, we loved that they had their own hangout space. And we really took advantage of the Powerline trail out the back yard as well as sunsets over the mountains/lake view. It’s perfectly located out of the busy part of South Lake Tahoe and very easy to get all around. The house was very clean, had plenty of towels, beds were soft and comfortable and we couldn’t believe that no one had a cold shower. The kitchen was stocked for large groups which we appreciated. Seriously, this place is amazing. I had booked another place and at the last min switched to Chris’s place and we were SO glad we did. We were a little nervous about no air conditioning, it was mid 80’s in the heat of the day when we were there, but opening up the windows at night cooled it down quickly. Thanks Chris, loved your home!

This was a great place and was well stocked with everything we needed to cook some delicious meals, enjoy the cool mountain air while soaking in the hot tub, and entertain ourselves in the evenings (puzzles, pandora). We brought our own games, but it was nice to see that they had some there as well. We especially enjoyed exploring the area and the trail behind the house and got some amazing pictures of sunset on the Lake. The neighborhood was very quiet and looked like the houses on both sides were under construction/renovation, presumably now that most of the snow has melted away. Luckily even on an extended weekend, any construction noise didn't bother/interrupt our stay. I also had to jump on a Zoom for work and was happy with the Wifi connection.

The place was very spacious with 4/5 of the bedrooms having a king bed. I really liked the outdoor decks and space to relax outside. Nice hot tub and bbq grills. The kitchen was fully stocked and we had what we needed for the most part. The place had a bit of a damp smell. Great location, nice quiet neighborhood. Good common space for large groups. Overall, we had a nice stay.

The house was pretty good and the location was great. My family and I enjoyed the hiking trails directly behind the house and the jacuzzi tub was great.

My family had a great time in Lake Tahoe and really enjoyed our stay at Chris's place. The house has incredible views on the decks and a short hike out the back gate of the fenced in yard! Absolutely beautiful!! He left great suggestions for activities and restaurants. There is plenty of room to spread out if needed and the pool table and hot tub were family favorites. I would love to come back in the summer time to do some hiking. The house had a great location for getting downtown and to Heavenly Ski Resort (8min drive), Kirkwood isn't too far either (40 min drive). All in all, it is a great home!!

Such a beautiful well-kept home. It suited our group just fine and was exactly as the air bnb description detailed. We were all very comfortable and had everything we needed in the home. Chris was very responsive and helpful when our group had questions!

Great home with tons of space, super close to Heavenly’s California lodge and just a 3-5 mile drive to casinos. I highly recommend staying here!

Great place to stay!

The trails behind the cabin were so convenient. We cross country skied right from the cabin for six days in a row. The views and beautiful scenery were right there. No drive required. The cabin sits quite high and the long views especially at dawn and at sunrise were spectacular from the cabin deck. We also were able to sit outside on the deck on several days for lunch in the winter sun.

My partner and I stayed here for 4 nights. We really enjoyed cooking in the fully stocked kitchen, watching HBO and Netflix right from the TV, billiards, fire place, the high speed WiFi throughout the house (essential for my business so this was important), the large hot tub, gorgeous wrap around deck with beautiful views, lots of windows and natural lighting during the day, and hiking trails which are literally right out back. The house stayed warm and we felt very comfortable and safe. If I could make just a few suggestions, I would increase the ambiance with some nice standing lamps. The overhead lighting in the living room and game room felt a bit harsh — it’s a good thing I brought tons of electric candles!. Also, the position of the couches and TV in the living room felt a little awkward/far away. Otherwise we had a truly wonderful stay!

Great home. Close to everything- the lake, Heavenly and Heavenly Village. The host was quick to respond to an issue with the sink, overall we were very happy with our stay.

So many perks! 4 King size beds, each in their own room. The bunk room w/2 fulls & a twin has an en-suite. Very nice. There’s plenty of room for separate space, so if someone still has to work online while there they can easily get away & still enjoy the comforts of being in the house. Showers were hot w/great water pressure. No toilet clogging issues. Garbage disposal backed up, but bought a plunger which homeowner was willing to reimburse for. Plenty of room for 5-6 grown adult couples. Plenty of room in garage & driveway for 4 vehicles (@ least 2 of our vehicles were full size trucks w/crew cabs & 1 w/extended bed). Plenty of room for snowboard/ski gear in garage, too. Plenty of supplies: towels, blankets, paper towels, tp, dishes, etc. The 2 coffee pots were nice. As advertised: 5 good size bedrooms w/3 full baths, hot tub, room for 4 vehicles. Lots of games & guide books etc. host communicates well & responds to inquiries. Would definitely recommend

Great house, with a wonderful location.

This was a great property for our family to visit. There was a great hiking trail of easy difficulty for children just through the back gate.

We absolutely loved our stay. They communicated well and it was easy to get answers to any questions with a quick message. The house was very spacious, well supplied with cleaning and sanitizing products and very comfortable. It has 4 very comfortable and cozy king beds, 2 full and 1 twin so our group of 8 slept very well. The kitchen was well supplied with appliances and utensils, which made cooking (especially Thanksgiving dinner) a breeze. We used the bbq as well as the fireplace. The house has heating but the fireplace made the kitchen/ family room extra cozy. It is close to the stores so with a quick few minute drive we were able to easily get supplies. The thing we loved the most is just outside the backyard gate is a whole forest to explore. We had snow when we stayed so we had our own winter wonderland to explore. It was magical. Would love to come back soon!

We truly enjoyed our vacation. The house was very spacious and we cook some great meals in a fully stocked kitchen! The beds were super comfy. The workspace for a couple of us working from home was perfect. The location was great and easy to zip down to stores and shops. Appreciated all the communication ahead of time to get us settled in quickly. It was a great family vacation!

Great space in the home and loved the backyard trail access. There's a few things that are a little rough around the edges, but overall the home was comfortable for my family and everyone had decent-sized rooms and beds.

I would definitely stay here again. The house was very spacious, our group of 9 slept comfortably. Almost everyone had their own bed. Location was great. Close to both lake and casinos. Because of covid, getting a Uber/Lyft from the house could get expensive, even though we weren’t far from where we wanted to go, recommend using a taxi. Plenty of refrigerator space and the four slot toaster came in clutch.

Chris’ place was the perfect home away from home and accommodated my family of 7 adults! Location was great with shopping center/grocery stores less than 10mins away and the woods as the backyard! Highlight of this home was the patio which was the best place to have your morning coffee!

Chris’s place was wonderful! It was very clean, the bedding and sheets smelt Like fresh laundry. The beds were really comfortable. Kitchen was equipped with everything. Loved the balcony! It would’ve been nice if the hot tub was upstairs for easier access. Overall, the place was really nice and spacious.

The property is huge, and accommodated our group of 7 adults and 4 children with room to spare. The kitchen is fully stocked and even had an Instant Pot, we were very pleasantly surprised and practically had everything we needed to cook large meals. The hot tub worked as expected and the numerous bathrooms were very convenient!

Chris’s place was great! Great hospitality, great location, great everything. My friends and I had an amazing time staying there and had no complaints about the home. It was clean and spacious. The location is perfect if you like to be away from busy streets/ areas. It’s only a few minutes from the downtown area and lake as well!

Large house. Older but well kept with a lot of amenities

The house was huge and there was plenty of space for our family of 8 adults and a 2 year-old. The location was great, we were close to everything we wanted to see and do. Even though we were in a neighborhood the house felt very private. The backyard is huge and we had a great time wandering through the trails behind the house. Everything was clean and the house was exactly as described when we arrived. Everyone in our group said they loved the house and they would definitely return.

This house is beautiful! Originally we thought there were five beds to quickly find that there were five nice sized bedrooms. The extra touches of the hot tub, patio set and pool table are amazing extras. It was close to the lake which was so nice. Also, their kind responses in regards to their home were always quick and polite. I would absolutely recommend this home.

Ten of us spent had a lovely time in Chris' house. The house is spacious and well-designed. We had more than enough space and loved the area in which it is located, as it was quiet and peaceful. The communication with both Chris and April was smooth and efficient, and we particularly appreciated the local tips, and the cleanliness of the property. A great place for a great time among friends!

Enjoyed our stay

The home is beautiful and in a good location in South Lake Tahoe. It has plenty of room for a large group. 3 different rooms with King size beds was a welcome sight for sure. The kitchen has all the amenities you’ll need. They even have a pressure cooker. The TVs all had Roku’s to watch anything you’d want from streaming services. There’s a perfect trail about 150 yards out through the back My family and I had a great time.

Three families with four kids between us fully enjoyed Chris's place. We were all able to do our own thing and never disturb each other with ample space to relax and play games. In addition the sound proofing in the house gives everyone a great night sleep and assures that early risers don't disrupt those sleeping in. The neighborhood is blissfully quiet and the birdsong is a delight. Not to mention the gorgeous hikes right out the back door.

Great place to stay within 10 minutes of Heavenly base and 45 minutes from Kirkwood. Our large group had a great time. High chair and 2 pack and plays were handy. Good responses from host. Large SUV doesn’t quite fit in the garage but we had no problem fitting up to 4 cars in garage/driveway. Great open space for cooking and game nights! Would stay again.

House was ideal for big groups, and anyone interested in going to Heavenly as it’s a quick 10 min drive. The house is in a quiet neighborhood with great hiking trails off the backyard. Whole Foods close by. Would stay here again.

We had a fantastic time at this house. Very clean, no allergy flares for anyone in our family. The space easily accommodated our group of 5 kids and 6 adults. The kitchen was well stocked with all sorts of cookware. There are amazing views just a sort walk up behind the house. Short drive to grocery stores and into town, but also nice to not have to stay in the midst of the city crowd. I would definitely recommend this property.

This is a great home for a large family and especially those with kids. Our kids really enjoyed having the downstairs bedroom and adjacent game room to themselves, and it allowed the adults to socialize upstairs in peace 😁 Also the beds were all comfortable and it was a big bonus to have multiple king size beds for the married couples. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking and the host was very responsive to any questions we had during our stay. Location was great- less than 10 minutes to Heavenly village. Highly recommend!

Chris’s home was more gorgeous than I expected! Dog friendly, great living space, backyard with hiking trails. Everything was very clean and cozy! We utilized both wood stoves and enjoyed the pool table. Can’t wait to stay again!

We came here for my daughter’s 1st birthday with all of the grandparents and some other family and it was perfect for us. It was quiet and clean with ample space for everyone to hang out together or retreat to their own space for some downtime. Our biggest concern coming in with the little one was all of the stairs, but there were baby gates in one of the closets that completely mitigated those concerns. On top of that, there was a pack n play and a high chair available, limiting what we had to bring with us. All of these details were greatly appreciated. Everyone had a great time and we may try to make this an annual gig.

For being my family first time in South Lake Tahoe this lovely beautiful home was great made me feel at home it had everything especially for my lil ones a high chair and play pin the view was amazing and the thing that we loved the most was the hike to the little creek in the back yard best experience ever I will most defiantly come back.

Such a Great location in SLT with a great patio that had the perfect view to the beautiful sunsets each night. Communication was quick when I had a question and instructions, bedding, and towels were ample. The bike trail behind the house was a welcome amenity for walking the dogs!

The family loved the walks behind the house, the horse shoes, the quite neighborhood. The living area was spacious and the pool table was a bonus. We have stayed in the Pioneer Trail area alot and love its conveniences. Thanks for sharing your home

I booked this house one year in advance to celebrate my husbands anniversary. We couldn’t check in until 4pm ( and early check in was unavailable). When we finally got into the house... it had a very strong pet smell.. the bathroom upstairs was dirty ( and I had to clean the whole bath before bathing my toddler and baby). All the appliances (bbq, dishwasher, washing machine, dryer) are very outdated and were either broken or not working properly. Overall, it wasn’t the experience I was hoping for and we were all very disappointed.

Shared the space with our three kids, my parents, and my brother. Pool table room was a winner!! Hot tub was awesome and sparkling clean. Really appreciated the fully stocked kitchen (coffee grinder, blender, etc.). Lots of room for all of us! Had quick responses to minor issue that came up during the stay and a fast resolution. Thank you!

A beautiful home in a beautiful place. Checkin and check out were super easy. The hosts were easy to communicate with. Definitely recommend this home for families. Some neighbors, however, are not as friendly as the beautiful scenery.

Chris’s home is in a great location! His home was very well kept and clean and made our stay an easy one! My family and I had chose this home because it was close to all nearby beaches and because pets are allowed. Only downfall is it was a somewhat inconvenience there is no direct backyard access so in order to let the dogs out to use the bathroom I had to put my dogs on leashes walk them down the stairs, to the front yard and then to the side. But other than that Chris’s Home is amazing and very clean. Everything we needed was provided upon our arrival! Thanks again Chris for having us, we enjoyed our stay :)

This is a great space for a large family gathering. Our family of 10 had plenty of space. The teenagers loved the pool table, and the adults enjoyed the outdoor lounging spaces. The house backs up to park wilderness so the views are spectacular. We highly recommend this home.

We had a wonderful weekend away with 8 girls. All of us were very comfortable and had plenty of space to relax and unwind. The hosts were so thoughtful to leave us straws, chocolates, and little silver rings for our bride-to-be.

Chris’s cabin was the perfect location for our group weekend getaway! The space was incredibly clean, comfortable, and approachable with every amenity we could want, from the large jacuzzi to the heater, grill, fresh linens and kitchen accessories. The layout of the cabin was so unique and gave our group of 8 a strong sense of both privacy and community. There were bottles of wine, chocolates and taffies waiting for us upon our arrival, and Chris’s team was always quick to accommodate or answer any question we had. Amazing location, it was better than I expected!

Our stay at Chris’s house was okay, the house itself is in a great location, there was a lot space for the 8 of us that stayed. The pool table was a great amenity as well as the fact that it was close to a walking trail that lead to a great view of the lake and mountains. The beds were comfy and the WiFi worked great throughout the house. However, there were numerous issues we experienced the moment we checked in starting with the very large ants all through the house, including the bathrooms, toilets and beds. There was a large dead rat left in the garage, light bulbs that did not work, cigarette butts on the patio that were not cleaned up and various appliances and furniture that were broken . The hot tub was not hot until the second day and there was mildew in one of the bathrooms. We contacted the host and his staff was very responsive and got the dead rat out and left some Raid for the ants, but for the price that we paid we were expecting a different experience and our expectations were not met. I sincerely hope that the host takes into consideration the maintenance and suggestions we made because it’s a great house, very close to the lake as well as to a lot of the stores and restaurants, but these issues should’ve been taken off before we arrived.

The house was great, just what we wanted. The check in process was very simple and easy. The location is close to Safeway 24hr store and the lake south beach. Only like 8min. We had a great time playing pool and in the jacuzzi. The kitchen is fully equipped and we cooked both days. Thank you for hosting us, will choose your place again for sure.

This is a perfect place. You can take a perfect vacation in here but just a be attention for some issue on snowing day.

We loved this house. We stayed as two families, with 3 kids total, and the space was plentiful. We were able to spread out our snow gear, and easily get ready in different rooms. Having a garage to load and unload the kids and gear was very nice. The location of the house is perfect when the roads are clear. We were able to drive easily to everything we needed, yet feel like we were away from the crowds in the quiet neighborhood of the house.

The place was great. I am always worried about the pictures looking better than the place itself, but this wasn't the case. We were all impressed with the house, pleanty or room for our group of 9 people, both in regards to the bedrooms and the living space. Beautiful home great fast and reliable responses to any and every question possible. The home has everything a family or group of friends could possibly need for a great time. My family and I even left 2 new snow sleds for the next guest to enjoy. Easy to get to any casinos stores etc. quiet neighborhood. If I could rate this house and the hosts I’d definitely give them a 10++++ so happy we chose this house.

Amazing house, and location! Impeccably clean and so much space! We loved everything about the house. Especially the high chair and baby gate for safety. If visiting during the winter be warned that the driveway is on a slant and is pretty icy. We got stuck and slid a few times pulling in and out, but all in all it was a great visit. Hosts were super responsive and the house had everything you could want plus more. Would definitely recommend!!

This home is a perfect getaway home. Spacious enough for a large group. Has plenty of amenities & the host provides more than enough tips & answers for things to do or questions that come up.

As described - nice, spacious and clean. Our stay was comfortable and enjoyable.

The common space is large and open. We spent most of our time in the upstairs common area and it easily accommodated 10 people. The house is located very close to a hiking trail, maybe 300 yards from the back gate. The central heating works great and the two grills in the balcony were perfect for making dinner.

We spent a week here so that our families from out of town could spend time together and enjoy Tahoe. Chris's home was perfect for that -- plenty of space for everyone comfortably, a large kitchen to cook breakfast and dinner, a pool table downstairs, and a hot tub outside. This home works great for groups of adults and families. There are 5 private bedrooms with comfortable beds. Our family loved being together in this spacious home. We have adult children with 3 grandchildren. The master suite is spacious and has a bathroom with a jetted oversized tub. The backyard is completely fenced and works well if you need to bring your pet. I found Chris and his team to be excellent communicators. They answered my questions and responded very quickly. We had 2 toddlers and the only challenge was the stairs. It was difficult to gate them off completely. Families with older kids would have no issue at all. We had the family with the toddlers set up in the bedroom downstairs attached to the game room which gave them privacy, their own bathroom, and a kitchenette with a refrigerator. It worked perfect for them. We did not use the hot tub, so can't report on that. I think we would have it were on the top deck off the main part of the house. It was on the lower deck off the master suite so others may have felt uncomfortable to use it just outside our room. Some of our kids went on a hike and reported how beautiful the views were. Overall our experience was great. The home was clean and well equipped and everything was as described. It was located near the casinos, hiking trails, stores...really an ideal location for our family. I would love to stay at Chris' home again.

Chris's place was perfect for our group! We stayed for 4 nights and were in town running the Lake Tahoe Marathon (which was a beautiful run and highly recommend as well). The beds were really comfortable and the space was big and open and had a great location to restaurants, shops, and the lake.

Pretty clean and all the king beds (the full bed mattresses were not quite as) were super comfortable and the large space was wonderful to have for a wonderful family reunion. Chris’ home is very beautiful, located in tranquil surroundings that make you feel like your in the middle of the woods. This home was awesome! Spacious, 2 bbq pits plenty of propane, 2 microwaves, roomy kitchen, nice deck with hot tub and outdoor seating areas. The best part was the game room with pool table, portable speaker, mini fridge, enough comfy couches in the living room. It was close to everything in South Lake Tahoe. Anything you need to ask they respond quickly.

This is literally the sickest house for the price. It’s oerfectly located to lake, casinos and great hikes. The house is big enough for a big group to separate and get some alone time. I love this stay so much and my group of friends from NYC were super impressed! The communication was smooth and everything was very easy and accommodating.

Our group of 12 adults and 2 dogs had a great 5 night stay at Chris' house - which was even bigger than expected! We did prepared most of our meals at the house and we had everything we needed to take care of such a large group. There was plenty of space for everyone to relax and socialize after skiing and did not feel cramped at all - it was great! Would highly recommend this home for a great ski trip!

Chris’s place is big and spacious. You will not need to worry about if you forgot anything as everything is within a 10 minute drive. Endless kitchen supplies and two Bbq if you plan on cooking. The bathrooms did not have soap or shampoo for showering so I would recommend bringing some.

Chris’ place is homey and comfortable. The multilevel accommodations make it great for family vacation trips-everyone had their own space. The family room and the dining were wonderful and very open. The hot tub was amazing after a long day in the snow. The communication, preparedness, and responsive was spot on. We couldn’t have asked for a better host with Alice and Chris.

This house was perfect. It had everything we needed. The house was big enough for our group. The rooms were spacious and the beds were comfy. Kitchen had everything we needed to cook, BBQ had extra propane tanks 4 to be exact. Quiet neighborhood. The kids loved the house they didn't want to leave. Close to the lake and casinos. Wifi worked well. We look forward to booking again in the future.

Chris's place is very spacious, located in a quiet neighborhood with a casual feel to it. We had a group of 11 adults and all had plenty of space to spread out. The kitchen is well stocked with plates, glasses, utensils and cooking equipment. Our party enjoyed cooking and eating together and not having to go out somewhere which can be difficult with such a large party. There is plenty of towels and hot water even with 11 adults showering, running the dishwasher and washing a few loads of laundry. Everyone agreed that the beds were quite comfortable. For me the best part about the place is that it's dog friendly! There is direct access to the Powerline Trail with endless hiking possibility's and a nice view of Lake Tahoe which was perfect for hiking with the dogs. The yard is fenced so that letting the dogs out to relieve themselves was a breeze, of course cleaning up after them is a must. The house is conveniently located within five minutes of Heavenly, Lake Tahoe and Casinos but far enough away that the place felt somewhat secluded. Needless to say our group is looking forward to returning.

I went with a group of 5 guys and we had an awesome trip, this place would have enough room for a lot more. All of the beds were comfortable, for me, that's one of the most important things in a rental. We had a minor issue with the hot tub and it was fixed before we got home skiing the next day, that was excellent service and communication. I had asked for an early check in and since it wasn't being rented the night before they said, " no problem " . I would recommend this place. Also the pool table was great. This place would be fine for several couples or a couple of families. $10 Uber to the casino was also a great benefit.

We had a very comfortable stay here with a group of 10. There is plenty of room for games and conversation. The kitchen is very well stocked with silverware and china. We didn’t use the washer and dryer but it was nice to have. We only wished there was some snow to see, but it was a dry start to the season. Only 5 minutes away from everything you might need.

It's really a great place if you have a dog....there is a great fencned in area as well as direct access to endless acres of beautiful wilderness for hiking.

This is a roomy and comfortable home in a quiet location. The pool table and hot tub are a plus. The kitchen is well stocked (maybe bring some vegetable oil) with lots of pots and pans and everything you need to cook up any meal. We cooked and baked a lot. The home looks recently remodeled, everything is in great condition. The weather was perfect, so we never needed to touch the thermostat. We highly recommend this beautiful home!

Chris' place was the perfect spot for Lake Tahoe! We had a group of 13 people who fit comfortably in the space and it did not feel crowded at all. The house is well equipped with everything you need and the hosts were very easy to communicate with and helpful with everything.

We are a family of 7 adults. Our kids stated that this trip to Tahoe was their favorite to date. Every year we rent a house somewhere to gather as it's so much nicer than everyone retreating to their hotel rooms. This house was large enough for us. The temperatures of the two floors were drastically different in that the downstairs was extremely cool and pleasant, while the main floor was extremely warm (temps during the day over the 4th of July time period were 80-85 degrees). Chris did supply 2 fans but if heat is an issue for you, you need to know that the downstairs guests have an advantage over the top floor. It was suppose to be 47 degrees at night but even with open windows it was uncomfortably warm. The trail behind the house that Chris describes on his website was fun to hike. We competed to get the lounge chair upstairs with the one view of Mt. Tallac from inside the house. We all enjoyed gathering on the deck, enjoying the cool breeze and sharing a glass of wine in the evenings. In all, we had a marvelous time. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

This home is perfect for an extended stay in Lake Tahoe. Located in a quiet neighborhood with fantastic hiking right out the back door, it's a quick 10-minute drive to downtown Heavenly for shops, restaurants, gondola and lake access. Great home with plenty of space for 2 families to share. Pool tournaments kept our 4 adult "kids" busy after hiking and enjoying the outdoors all day. With several patios and and a nice backyard with pine trees, it's great for viewing the mountains and reading a book or playing horse shoes. Chris is an excellent host - fast communication, easy check-in/check-out. The home is well-equipped and CLEAN. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet place in Tahoe that is close to activities.

Pleasant stay at the house. Was clean. But would've been nice if more hygiene products like shampoo and body wash. Also house manual could not be opened. Also a house manual wasn't provided for easier navigation like wifi use and other home accessories.

Great place to stay at. Heavenly Ski Resort, and other great restaurants are within 10 minutes of the home. The kitchen was stocked with plates, glasses, silverware etc. And the rest of the place was well equipped with fresh towels, clean sheets, extra blankets, games, movies, pool table, and most importantly Wi-Fi to keep you connected with the outside world. We have stayed at Chris's other house just down the road and this year we decided to go for the bigger house and we are glad we did! Great location! Great space between neighbors! The house is top notch! Love the multi-level and room lay out. There is Room for everyone and some. Decks everywhere which makes it nice when you just want to step outside for fresh air. This was our second time staying at the house and we loved it even more. The snow was crazy, but Chris and April was really responsive with letting us know when/whether the driveway would be shoveled. Found an extra heater this time and it was extremely helpful in keeping the downstairs warmer the second time.

The home was perfect and met the needs of a large group of friends wonderfully. The host communicated with us very well and informed us of weather conditions and other pieces of information whenever we contacted them. Would definitely recommend this home to anyone and would 100% stay again.

Just finished a 4 night stay, with 5 adults, 2 very young children, and 2 large dogs. Very comfortable, spacious and well equipped. There were only a couple of things we noticed that could be improved; additional or brighter lighting , and a full length mirror in the master bedroom. Otherwise, it was a very enjoyable house to stay in, and we'd book again.

We really loved Chris's home, but I have given 4 stars for the late host which was about 30 mins while we waited in the streets for the cleaning to finish. And sometimes the AC was getting cold. Other than that the home was cozy and our family enjoyed it a lot and we highly recommend it.

The home was great. We had two small children (3 and 1), my wife and her parents, and had 5 beds (2 bedrooms) left over. We had a few family members cancel on us at the last minute, but if they would have came spacing would not have been a problem. I appreciate that there was a kiddie/doggie gate for the stairs for peace of mind for the safety of the kids. I wish we would have utilized the outer deck more for the grilling and outdoor seating because it was so spacious, but there was a winter storm. The house was awesome. Cable and wifi, with 3 full bathrooms, a pool table and a downstairs fridge for drinks by the pool table. There were guest guides and a home manual that were available. The house was immaculately clean and plenty of towels and bedding. Kitchen was fully stocked with plates and silverware and pots and pans and spices too. Prime location for heavenly village/casinos (5 min drive). Adventure mountain was 20 minutes away for sledding and the tahoe tot spot which is 3 minutes away is a must for the little kiddies to climb and run around. Very quiet neighborhood. We may have been the only car to drive on that street. If it's available we will definitely try to reserve again. Spring/Summertime will probably be the optimal time to rent to use the hot tub and upper decks and outdoor seating. For snow season the house is great too. We did not have any problems at all. If guests continue to keep the maintenance minor for Chris Mac, then the house should stay in great shape. Two large suvs will fit in the driveway and two cars in the garage if need be. Also, check out the reading material on the desk by the chaise lounge! Pretty cool that Chris Mac has his own book about Tahoe bould climbing.

We will definitely be looking to book this for future trips to South Tahoe. The property is beautiful, comfortable and great for families and get togethers! The owner and property manager are extremely hospitable and great with communication. If ever there was a question, they were quick to respond and be of any assistance.

We each planned a meal and the kitchen was well stocked except for a mixer but April delivered one the first day we were there and also got some bakeware for us to use. Beautiful home. I was very excited when I found this home on the listing because of its price and everything looked new and clean. Chris has been responsive with my questions since the beginning. I am glad I was able to find a place for a quick family/friends gathering over an extended weekend. We will definitely stay here again next time we are in Tahoe.

The listing for this house was accurate and met our needs perfectly. Beds were very nice, and there were a lot of extra fans and heaters to help maintain comfortable temperatures in each room. The kitchen was well stocked with cookware and ingredients. We were a little short on paper towels and tissues, but the host was willing to reimburse us for those costs.

This house is beautiful, spacious and has all you need to relax and enjoy. It's as good as it looks in the pictures, if not better. We had a not so small mishap with the house upon arrival, but April, the manager, worked very hard to make sure it was taken care of and that we were compensated. I did not meet the owner, but met April. She was very sweet and available promptly when we needed her. I am definitely keeping this house at the top of the list for our next Tahoe trip, even with the hiccup in our reservation!

This is a beautiful house for a large family wanting to vacation in Lake Tahoe. The house offers everything you need from spacious rooms, game room, beautiful balcony with plenty of seating, BBQ grills/charcoal grill, full kitchen fully stocked with everything you need, and plenty of games to choose from. We did not use the hot tub but it's a great size and located in a quiet spot around the house. The house was fully furnished and equipped with all of the cleaning supplies you need: sponges, soaps, dishwashing soap, etc. Most importantly the house was very clean with entirely updated appliances and bathrooms. The only downside to the house is that there's no A/C, so on a hot summer day, it gets really hot! If you're out and about at the beach, it's not a big issue, but it does get pretty warm during the day. Thanks so much for a wonderful weekend that was able to accommodate my large family!

Great home in a great location! Our party was 7 adults, 5 kids and 3 dogs; 4 best girlfriends from childhood and their now families. Chris's house fit us perfectly. We really appreciated being able to bring our dogs along for the trip. Being able to hike straight out of the back yard was outstanding. Easy drive to several nice beaches and fun lake activities. We definitely plan to return to Chris's house for our next Tahoe trip.

Chris was very responsive and helpful answering our questions before the trip. The house is great, spacious and kid/toddler friendly if you figure out how to block the access to the stairs. We traveled with 3 toddlers and they enjoyed the large living room and the game Candyland was a big hit too. We had some issues with the hot tub, the instructions being little vague but found an instructional video on the internet and it helped. What we liked the most was the easy access to the hiking trails and the nice surrounding area. If you have little ones who go to sleep early than be aware that the master bedroom is directly under the living room and the sound of every step upstairs is amplified not to mention when other kids are playing with cars or just simply running around.

We had such a wonderful time and couldn't have been happier with the house! Great set up for a large group and such a nice comfortable house! Love the decor, the feel of the place- it actually exceeded my (already high) expectations of the place! Beds were all comfy and we had everything we needed to cook a nice meal and the hot tub was so relaxing at the end of the day! Can't beat watching the sunset on the beautiful patio too! We were well informed entering but didn't actually meet anyone in person. Property description was accurate, pleasantly surprised to see upgraded bedding and furnishings. For a family of cooks, the kitchen was well equipped and spacious. Neighborhood was lovely, quiet, close enough to shopping but far enough to feel secluded. The backyard access to the walking/hiking trail was wonderful and used often during our visit. Multiple decks were great for our large family to have some privacy, top deck perfect for us all to come together outside. Host/agent was responsive. We would return!

This house was fantastic! It was probably the best equipped and stocked house I have ever rented, and I have been renting for a while. The backyard was protected, but also opened up to a wonderful rustic forest which was a pleasure to walk through, day or night. Would definitely rent here again if possible

As this was my first booking with Airbnb, I was expecting the logistics to be a headache. Chris proved me wrong. Right from the beginning, communication was concise, and the entire process was painless. There's not much to say about the property itself outside of the beautiful pictures. Everything was as described, if not more, and this house was the perfect location for me and my guests. Do not hesitate on this listing, you won't regret it!

Simply put, if you need a 5bd room house in South Lake, this IS THE HOUSE TO RENT. The price is great, the house is even better! First, and most import, the house was incredibly clean! The bedding/towels are nice quality (not the cheap/old stuff you see in many rental homes). Even better, Chris uses duvet covers on the bedding...absolutely brilliant!!! Ironically, I travel with a king size duvet for my bedding in rental properties (I get grossed out as I know most comforters do not get washed between use). So not the case here! The house has modern/mountain decor. It feels warm, open and inviting. The furnishings are very comfortable! I honestly did not want to leave! Re: Bedrooms - The master bedroom is amazing! (if traveling with another couple you may want to fight for the master (you are doing the research... haha). The bedroom off the game room is a kids dream (3 beds in one room with it own bathroom). There are three bedroom upstairs off the kitchen/living room with a shared bathroom, each room is great with nice bedding and decor. Again very clean. There is a full size laundry room as well (very nice). The kitchen is large, well stocked. Appliances are great! Enough room for a large group to cook (or do the dishes)... not just one person. The patio/deck is amazing (if weather permits a bbq is in order). Very nice patio furniture. (If not, Chimayo Street Grill was an amazing find, Chimayo hosted a dinner for us with 47 people; great food, great price, greater people). The mountain bike trails near the house are amazing! Chris is an amazing host (very accommodating). I had many requests (he did everything he could to accommodate me, I can be high maintenance). I rented this property for a business project (six people), I had to be budget conscious, this home met the criteria, far exceeded expectations. The rates were more competitive than a hotel rooms per person. I will be renting this home again for personal vacation. It was that AMAZING! Thank you again! Catherine

We had the most amazing time at the house. The trail out the back yard had the most amazing view and the house is very close to town. Most of the time we cooked our meals at home as the kitchen was very well equipped and spacious. I hope to stay at Chris' house again in the future, it was absolutely gorgeous!

My family and I are very happy with this house. First, Chris was a great host, and responds promptly which is very important especially when you're travelling. Though I didn't get to meet him personally, he still made us feel welcomed. He provided all the necessary information, ahead of time, to make our checking in easy, and our stay comfortable. Next, the house is amazing! We all loved it! My dad, who is very particular on details, was very impressed. We booked 3 different houses on this trip, and this was our favourite. It was complete with everything that you could need. It even had plastics sleds for the kids to use so we don't have to rent. Bedrooms and beds were comfy. There were even board games provided. The kitchen was my favourite. I was tasked to cook so it was a dream to work in this kitchen. It had everything that I needed, and more. Loved that Christ thought of almost everything, even Julia Child's cookbook. Plates and utensils, glasses and coffee mugs were enough for a big group. Pots & pans were the heavy duty ones. I could go on, but basically, everything that was posted about this house is true. We definitely will come back. Thanks again Chris for a beautiful home and a wonderful stay.

The house is perfect! Big enough for our group of 11 people and one dog! The kitchen is really big, and the hot tub, pool table and the backyard makes the place even better!

Chris's house was perfect. We had a small group but would have easily been comfortable with more people. Everything was clean and organized and Chris was prompt in answering any questions about supplies needed for my stay. I definitely would recommend/stay here again!

We really enjoyed our stay here. We were two families, each with two young tots. The place was really kid-friendly: two packnplays, a stool for reaching sinks, kid videos, and ton of board games. We had plenty of room, even in the closet of the master bedroom to sleep our youngest in a packnplay. The kitchen was well-equipped with everything you need, including two grills, slow cooker and blender. Pool table, hot tub, and jetted tub (and old timey record player) were awesome! Our only little gripe is that the downstair's temp is cooler than upstairs in the evening. I read this in another review and for tots who don't know how to use a blanket, I just layered on the pajamas and sleep sack. We used the space heater to temp warm up the room and it helped. But luckily the April weather was forgiving on us. The location is great; 10min to Heavenly and 20min to this awesome sledding place called Adventure Lake Tahoe. Would love to stay at Chris's place again. thanks for having us!

Thank you for sharing your home with us. The house was beautiful and very nicely appointed. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking throughout the week and furniture clean and comfortable. When we arrived, the coffeemaker was not working. I messaged the owner and in 2 days had a brand new coffeemaker delivered. The owner is so responsive and helpful. Plenty of clean linens and towels. We enjoyed the great, convenient location to many activities in South Lake Tahoe. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Incredible home in Tahoe, close to everything yet you feel like you are in the Tahoe forest. You can take a short walk from the home and see the lake. Great trails off the backyard for hiking. House is warm and spacious. All the beds were comfy and the hot tub was wonderful! I would recommend the home to anyone wanting a trip to Tahoe in a beautiful spacious home for winter or summer activities.

Chris has been a great host! Provided all information prior to trip! The place was great and the trails and land behind the house and within the neighborhood was amazing! Such great hiking trails and the view of south Tahoe and the lake was great! Love the kitchen! That was one of my main spot all weekend, I loved be layout. Overall space was a bit smaller than expected but we made it work.

We had a great week at Chris' house (with lots of snow in the mountains). We enjoyed the large open living area with the kitchen and dining table as well as the variety of bedrooms. The neighborhood was very nice and quiet, with easy access to the forest through the backyard. Chris was very responsive and we would definitely stay at the house again.

Our stay at Chris's home was perfect. Our group of 12 were accommodated very comfortably, the house was very spacious, the game room with the pool table was a lot of fun. The location couldn't be better, a short 10 minute drive from Heavenly and having the forest as your backyard with a short hike to an AMAZING view of the lake was a cherry on top! I doubt we'll be staying anywhere else for all our future trips to Tahoe.

Probably the best experience I've had on this website. House was better than advertised, Chris was amazingly responsive, everything you needed to cook for a big group, perfect for a ski weekend with a group of friends. Also, the trails right outside the backyard are really great for snowshoing.

We had a fantastic time at Chris' home! The home was very large and slept our very large group comfortably. Moreover, the amenities of the cabin (pool table, hot tub, decks, etc.) made it all the more fun to stay in South Lake Tahoe. Chris gives a great price for what you're getting out of the cabin and he's also very responsive in making sure any of your requests are met. Highly recommend this place and hope to stay here again myself!

First Tahoe trip with snow and had a great trip! The house was beautifully decorated with snow and the kids had fun playing with the snow in the back yard. The house had all the basic essentials and it was easy to communicate with Chris if the house was running out of something. Nice location, lovely house and great experience!

We had a great time at this house. The location is close and convenient to the freeway and casinos, markets. There was plenty of space for our party of 11 plus 2 toddlers. The two decks were great for outdoor access without having to go downstairs, and safe for the kids to play. The fenced yard was also nice to play with the snow. The 5 rooms have ample beds and a variety of bed sizes to accommodate different arrangements for families, which was great. One negative is that the master downstairs is right under the kitchen/family area, so you can hear every noise. This was difficult for us because we had kids and they had trouble sleeping. The downstairs bedrooms also get chilly at night. We used the space heaters provided in the rooms. The upstairs rooms were toasty with the Nest thermostat. Chris was very easy to correspond with and responsive. There were amenities missing when we arrived (toiletries, dish soap, etc.) so we picked them up along with groceries, and were told Chris would reimburse us. We would recommend this house for a large number of guests.

Our family chose a pre-Christmas vacation together this year instead of presents for one another. Having never used Airbnb before, I admit that I was skeptical. I wondered whether this home could possibly be as good as it sounded. Wow, was I pleasantly surprised. Chris' house was all that the pictures suggested, and it was very accommodating for 8 nights for our family of 9 adults and 3 babies. The house manual that he sent us helped to give me a clear picture of how things worked. The kitchen was nicely stocked with all the cookware, utensils, & dishes that we needed to prepare our meals for the week. The open floor plan allowed us to be around each other but still have plenty of space. The outdoor decks were a lovely addition to the living space inside the home. Having come from suburbia in Southern California, the snow-covered forest was a welcome change of scenery. Although the air was pretty chilly outside, the NEST thermostat was efficient and kept us toasty warm inside. The bedding and bathroom setup was just right for our group; we were all given towels & washcloths for the week also. The 2 TVs (game room downstairs & living room upstairs) worked well, and we enjoyed several Christmas classics in the DVD players. The pool table was a central gathering point during the week and several fun games ensued. Although there was significant snow on the ground, we didn't have to worry about the driveway. Chris had arranged for a snow-clearing service which was a huge relief to us. Chris even contacted me after a couple of days to see if the house needed anything. When I gave him a suggested list (trash bags, toilet paper, laundry detergent), he quickly ordered the items so that they arrived toward the end of our stay. He was continually prompt and courteous in communicating with me. He was gracious in answering any questions I had, and he was open to hearing my feedback during & after my family's stay in his home. Overall, it was a wonderful week! I look forward to reserving Chris house again in the future.

We actually ended up driving from the Bay Area to the house in the middle of a little snow storm. From the minute we parked in the driveway and were met with the outdoor lights shining through the flurries, we felt at home. Honestly, the pictures do not do it justice. The home is warm, comfortable and absolutely beautiful. The layout is great for small to medium groups- the open floor plan on the main level allowed us to cook, snack, enjoy the fire place and have great conversations all weekend. I personally did not end up using the hot tub, but it was definitely a hit with a a few that had post skiing and snowshoeing aches. The neighborhood was quiet and the nights perfect for checking out the stars or simply relaxing over a glass of wine or game of pool. We ended up being a party of 5 with more than ample space and accommodations. A definite place we would return to, and may do it as a winter tradition! Great experience!

We had a wonderful trip, and the home was exactly as pictured and described. The house was very clean and obviously well maintained (including the hot tub), stocked with some basic essentials, and the wifi worked great. We did not have any problems or complaints during our stay. The neighborhood was quiet, so it was easy to understand the importance of the 10pm noise curfew. We did see a black bear a few streets over on our last night, so use the bear box! Overall we had a great experience, and I would happily stay at this host's properties again.

We celebrated my parents 50th wedding anniversary at Chris' beautiful home. We cooked so many meals together in the beautiful kitchen and enjoyed lounging on the decks. The pool table was a huge hit too! I would definitely rent this home again.

What a wonderful place! We had 2 families (8 people) and had more than enough space for everyone. The location is awesome in a very quiet neighborhood but still less than 5 mins from all the action in South Lake Tahoe. The views from the patio are unbeatable and we had coffee each morning and drinks most afternoons right there on the patio. No need to go anywhere else. Chris was very responsive to any questions throughout the stay and was always very quick and accommodating. Powerline trail is right out the nack yard fence. we hiked it 2 different days. Wished I had brought or rented an MTB nice easy trail for that too. The pictures don't do the place justice. it's a large home with 2 main levels and plenty of space for everyone to spread out. We'll be booking again if we come back to Tahoe. Thanks Chris!

House is beautiful and very clean. Our group consisted of 10 adults and one cat (with dog tendencies). We all raved about the house. It's located in a peaceful, quiet neighborhood. We watched the fireworks from atop of the hill. Great experience overall and would love to come back again.

Honestly.... This may be the best deal you will ever find on AirB&B. Period. Awesome house. Perfect for large parties at the price of a smaller home. The quality of everything was pristine (he has professional cleaning crews upkeep the place). The house lacked for nothing (the beds were more comfortable than my own) and when it did, Chris mailed the supplies overnight. He was a very gracious host, to allow unfettered use of one of the nicest (and coolest) homes I've ever stayed in - especially since our party was one of a score of rascally college kids. (PS: there is a BP table in the basement). 11/10.

The description and pictures of the place were very accurate. One of the best aspects of the place was the neighborhood. It is very quiet and backed up to a National Forest full of beautiful views of Lake Tahoe and the surrounding scenery. These views are close enough where you could bring your morning coffee. Chris had timely, accurate instructions and great recommendations.

This was such a great getaway for my husband and I. Chris was very accurate with the description and pictures of his home. The house had plenty of room for my husband and I and our dogs. Our friends Sean and Aileen also came up with us and we had such a fun and relaxing time. We left the house daily to go hiking since the trails were just out the backyard. Amazing views of the lake on a clear day. After hiking, we either played pool or took advantage of the hot tub. It is a great property and we would recommend this home to anyone!

We had a very relaxed time in Lake Tahoe, thanks to Chris and his wonderful home. The place can actually pass as 6 bedrooms, when you consider 3 beds in the large fifth bedroom. The game room was large and a great gathering place for kids. Kids had a blast with pol and board games. Kitchen is well appointed and enough to cook a large thanksgiving meal! Chris was very responsive and followed up regularly before we reached there and during our stay. The location is very private with easy access to a wonderful hiking trail just behind the home. A great place for large gathering with family and friends!

Chris has a wonderful house that is great for large groups of people. The kitchen is great to cook in and the two fireplaces make it a really cozy house to hang out in. Everything we needed in our short stay was provided for us.

Chris' home is beautiful—the multilevel rooms allowed us to have privacy and quiet though we had a number of people staying over. We made some delicious meals using the generous kitchen supplies and BBQ. We loved the multiple decks for lounging around. The views were beautiful and the neighborhood quiet. When we found a toaster oven had a door broken by a previous guest, a new one was shipped overnight. A great, great place to stay. Thank you for the hospitality

Chris was very easy to work with and responsive to all our inquiries. The home was beautiful and had plenty of space to host our group. The home was secluded enough to feel you're away from it all yet only 10 minutes or so from what you need.

PROS: Easy going host. Nice home with great location. Easy reimbursement for some of the materials we bought (i.e. paper towels, salt, etc.). CONS: Keys were not in the lock when we arrived and Chris did not pick up his phone when we called.
