I’m April, Real Estate Investor and vacation rental specialist based in the beautiful Lake Tahoe region. With over 12 years in the industry, I combine my passion for mountain living with expertise in property development & design to create exceptional guest experiences. My background in small commercial and residential development allows me to craft spaces that are both stunning and functional. I’m dedicated and passionate about optimizing the details —from interior design to operational efficiency—to ensure every stay is seamless and memorable. I believe in delivering top-tier hospitality through thoughtfully designed spaces where every element serves a purpose. Outside of work, I love traveling, dancing, hiking, snowboarding and spending time on the Lake!

I’m Viktoria (Tor) McNamara, Co-Founder of Modern Mountain Vacations, based in beautiful Lake Tahoe. With a background in education, global travel, and program management, I bring a thoughtful, guest-focused approach to vacation rental cohosting and management. I’m all about creating standout stays and sharing unique hospitality experiences. I love connecting people with spaces and adventures that deliver. My experience—leading study abroad programs to working as a boat captain—has shaped my passion for logistics, communication, and design. I focus on crafting seamless guest experiences and designing spaces that are both functional and beautiful, in both the residential or commercial realms. I also care deeply about sustainability and building strong connections within our local community. When I’m not managing rentals, I’m usually out on the lake surfing, riding my bike in the mountains, or adventuring with my family.
