The house and hosts were amazing! It was just the right amount of nature for us, while having all the amenities city folk like us needed! hahah. We love the little details that showed us the hosts cared about our comfort, like quality bath products and a bottle of wine waiting for us on our arrival. We will definitely want to stay here again when we come back to Lake Tahoe! If they’d have us. :)

Beautiful Airbnb. When you enter the place there is definitely a bit of a wow factor. It’s super well designed with lots of high end touches. The location is beautiful and remote but not a super far drive to south Tahoe’s amenities. The kitchen is fully equipped. There is also a great set up for young kids – they have lots of toys and books that our kids loved. Would definitely recommend staying at this place.

Can’t say enough good things about the house, location and hosts ! The house is perfectly located to be close enough to South Tahoe’s main drag, popular trails, Lake Tahoe, Lake Echo, Fallen Leaf, etc while being nestled among boulders and trees in a private & quiet neighborhood. Every single window faces a gorgeous view… none more gorgeous than watching the sunrise trickle down the ridge through the back window in the early AM. Our 14 yr old pup loved the backyard and hanging out in the back porch. The house is super cozy and the most well-equipped home we’ve ever stayed in. Our only regret was not hanging in the house more. April & Viktoria of Modern Mountain Vacations were welcoming, kind, easy to communicate w/ and thoughtful! We were welcomed w/ flowers, wine, an amazing selection of Sparta Candle Company soaps🥰 - it was above and beyond - and very much appreciated! We look forward to coming back and also staying at other MMV locations !

PHENOMENAL!!! We had 4 adults and two young kids. This house was spectacular in every way. The outdoor space was perfect for kids, felt peaceful and resort like. It’s close enough to all the action but far enough where you are in a quiet environment. The house had everything we needed and more. I’ve stayed at a lot of places and by far this was the best experience.

We traveled with our parents and 1.5-year-old, and everyone loved it! Super kid-friendly, with thoughtful touches like baby gates, utensils, and a very comfortable travel crib (our daughter actually preferred it over our own!). We had such a great time just hanging out at the house—indoors and outdoors. My mom’s first question when we checked in was, “Can we come back in winter?” That says it all. Easy to find, yet feels very private and safe. April was also incredibly responsive and helpful throughout our stay. We wish we had a vacation home like this!

Enjoyed staying here for a few days with my family and dog. The house is lovely and in a quiet neighborhood that’s also close to the main spots in South Lake Tahoe. Hosts were responsive and provided great local recommendations. The living room did get pretty warm in the afternoon but the bedrooms were comfortable and had AC.

April’s place was cozy, beautiful, and thoughtfully appointed. The views from the deck were absolutely stunning — we spent an evening out there enjoying the peaceful, serene atmosphere. As a lovely personal touch, she left us a coffee from a local shop, which turned out to be the best we’ve ever had. April was also exceptionally responsive and communicative throughout our stay, promptly addressing any questions we had. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and I’d highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a relaxing, quiet getaway in South Lake Tahoe. A helpful note for future guests: the home is water-heated and does not have a traditional "cool" setting on the thermostat, so it can feel a bit humid at times. However, fans are provided in each room to help regulate the temperature. Additionally, the house is conveniently close to Fallen Leaf Lake — a beautiful, lesser-known spot that’s absolutely worth a visit.

Everything was wonderful!

We were happy with our stay. The host was responsive and thoughtfully prepared the house with high-quality items. The property offers beautiful views during the daytime, whether it’s sunny or snowy — truly a treat to wake up to. The only minor inconvenience we noticed was that during the colder season, the second floor can get a little chilly at night, especially in the master bedroom since the bed is close to the window. The heater doesn’t seem to work as effectively upstairs. Also, we spotted four bears within the community! It was exciting and felt like a rare experience to us, but it also made us a little nervous about walking in the community. Depending on how you feel about encountering wildlife, you might want to keep that in mind.

If we are in South Lake Tahoe, this is our go to property. It’s exactly as described, close to everything you may be interested in and the hosts are always available to help. April and Victoria are great hosts, thanks for hosting us again.

This place was a beautiful retreat. We went when the snow and there was lots of serene views and relaxing amenities. The home was very clean, lots of space, & a well equipped kitchen. The communication was great & we appreciated the flowers & wine upon arrival. If/when we travel to Tahoe again we will definitely stay here!

April's home was very beautiful, calm, cozy, and it was the perfect getaway for my family and friends. Even our dogs had a really fun time here. April's communication was extremely fast and efficient. The home was spotless and had everything we needed--even a few unexpected gifts for us. We would definitely revisit if we're in the area.

We visited with our energetic dog and toddler for whom it was the first snow experience. The house was extremely clean, well organized, and most importantly designed with modern features such as adjustable lights, nest thermostat, to name a couple. We were welcomed with a bottle of wine, a great choice of coffee beans. The kitchen was extremely well loaded, with silverware, dishes, cups, salt, oil spray, lots of pans, baling utensils, etc. The top bedroom had a beautiful view of a starry night. It was colder than the bottom floor with an on/off thermostat but we figured out quickly the right settings. The couches were comfortable and so we the beds. In front of the house, there were some woods where the little one enjoyed the first snow experience in a safe way. We could not have hoped for a better experience. Sincere thanks to the hosts for making it so great.

This was a beautiful home in a great location. Not too far of a drive from the town and ski resort. The views are the best part.The space was kept clean and had all the amenities we needed to cook our own food and do our own laundry. Loved this place so much! The hosts were also so communicative and we had no issues whatsoever!

The house looks just like the pictures. Couldn’t be any cleaner if it tried and beds were extremely comfortable. You were out in the middle of the forest with an amazing view outside the living room, but could be into Southlake Tahoe inside of 12 minutes. Absolutely perfect great place if you want to relax and let your kids play out in the snow. Only thing I would add is maybe bring a plastic sled so your kids can play.

We had a great stay! The home was cozy and the perfect size for 2 families. The location was easy and convenient for skiing in Heavenly and Kirkwood. The kids loved to explore the surrounding property around the house too which was very safe and secluded. It was all that we had hoped for and we look forward to when we’re able to visit again!

Peaceful and relaxing retreat house, highly recommend this amazing property in a quiet estates neighborhood. One of the reasons we chose this was to have breathing room between the properties surrounding. Too many neighborhoods have been developed close together, not this one. It really felt tucked away and private. We didn’t have any street noise from neighbors or vehicles. There was a little road noise from the backyard but didn’t interrupt the experience. The backyard was great for just enjoying a beautiful view of the trees, surrounding mountains and sunrise. The windows in the house on the main living area were well worth it. The quality of natural light coming into the house was just so memorable and would absolutely come back just to chill in the house and relax for that. Temperature was great downstairs and upstairs, was very controllable and able to dial in a comfortable setting. Setup very well for family’s or couples for up to 6 people.

This was definitely one of the best airbnbs stays we’ve ever had - if not the best. The hosts were great, very quick to respond and super friendly. The home was beautiful and in such an amazing location. We had family events planned the whole weekend but I wish we would have had more time to just enjoy this home and property/neighborhood! I was really impressed with the quality of the furnishings and the attention to detail of the little things at the home. They even had a ton of stuff perfect for our one year old (high chair, toys, pack n play). I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.

Beautiful cozy home with spectacular views of the forest! Loved the aspen trees in the backyard with bright golden leaves - the fall colors are simply stunning! The house has everything you need with modern touches. It was a short weekend stay but our family had a wonderful time in this home. Nice to just sit on the deck and enjoy the views. We did see a bear cub roaming most likely looking for food in the early evening! Hosts are responsive and accommodating. Thank you for sharing this lovely home. We hope to return in the future!

Beautiful location with tons of privacy and views. We really enjoyed sitting on the back deck taking in the views of the mountains. Despite being in nature, the home is only minutes for restaurants. The home has been modernized with an open layout and updated bathrooms. The property managers were very responsive and we really appreciated the goodies left for us at check-in.

I would buy this house if I could! I love it! The location, the view, the coziness factor. I don't want to share how much I love it because I don’t want to have a hard time renting it again!😁 I wish it were priced a little lower, but I will always wish that.😁

April and her team were very accommodating. The home was warm and cozy. It isn’t too far from the town, where there are restaurants and grocery stores. The unit is also centrally located to some of Tahoe's great hiking trails and water activities. If given the opportunity to stay at the property again, it’s an easy yes!

We loved our visit at this house! The location in South Lake Tahoe is perfect.... located close to town, but the house itself was very private, full of beautiful trees, and near many nice trails. It was nice having a full size laundry room to use during our stay as well. The hosts included many nice touches, such as cold beer mugs ready to go in the freezer when we arrived, fresh flowers, and a welcome gift that included the whole family. The house was very clean and well kept. We cooked many meals and the kitchen was equipped with everything we needed. You can tell that items were purchased just to make this place special for its guests. The host was very responsive with any questions, suggestions, or issues we had during our stay. This is a great place for family or two couples to stay. The location is private but yet close to plenty to do around Lake Tahoe. Beautiful views from the windows and a nice backyard we enjoyed. Also the house is walking distance to a trail nearby which is great for a morning run or evening stroll. 10/10 recommend.

This chalet had majestic views. The location was easy to find. The home feels secluded with the neighboring homes some distance away. Beautiful views from all the windows. A delightful surprise was the view of the night sky from the master bedroom windows while lying in bed. The home was spacious for our family of four. Did we mention THE VIEWS?!?!?

This house was GORGEOUS! Stunning views from the many windows, a well-furnished kitchen, plenty of comfy communal space, and lovely restful bedrooms. We were there mostly for the skiing, but enjoyed the house as much or more than our time on the slopes. LOVED the heated stone floor in the downstairs area, and the scandi decor is perfection. There was even a little aesthetic watering can so we went around and watered all the plants since it can be so dry up in the mountains while enjoying the view from each window. There was plenty of wildlife to see even in winter (coyote packs, birds of prey, animal tracks in the snow)! Driving in and out of the neighborhood was very easy even during the two whiteout snowstorms we got. And the location was amazing—just close enough to town for quick trips but secluded enough to be able to enjoy nature on all sides. April and Viktoria are superb hosts. Quick with communication and helpful with all of the info you need during your visit.

This home was perfect for our group of six on a ski trip. It was about fifteen minutes to the Heavenly gondola and easy to get into town. Everything was comfortable, the kitchen had what we needed to cook meals at home, and the hosts were helpful and responsive! Among the better Airbnbs I’ve stayed at.

The home had all of the amenities one needs for cooking: Air fryer, BBQ, Cocktail Shaker. The bottle of wine and flowers was a great touch. Also appreciated the quality of the soaps and shampoo in the bathrooms.

Our family has stayed in many rentals and April’s place is our favorite, hands down. The home was clean and is in a beautiful location surrounded by trees and nature. We were blessed with a good amount of snow which added to the beauty. We got all dressed to start shoveling the driveway and we were surprised to see that the snow plow already came by (it was 9:00am!). Their home manual explained the snow plow services but didn’t think they’d be by that early! The home was well stocked with blankets, pillows and towels. The kitchen was well stocked and found everything we needed to cook meals and bbq. The only thing I would mention is that the stairs are a bit steep and there is no hand rail. This wasn’t a problem more of a surprise worth mentioning if you have kids. Speaking of kids, the home has plenty of supplies for them (other reviews have commented on this). We really, really loved this home and hope we can return again.

Our stay was perfect timing - we had 5+ inches of fluffy snow the day after we arrived and left right before a blizzard was supposed to hit. This place was one of the few we really didn’t want to leave. The house was next to the woods and the newly fallen snow made it picture perfect for a winter wonderland, almost dreamlike. We have traveled the world and stayed in many dozens of hotels and airbnbs and this was one of my absolute favorite experiences. The house is so incredibly cozy, clean and comfortable, and I’m admittedly a little high maintenance. And the hosts went above and beyond in so many big and small ways to make the experience feel magical. We hiked from the house daily and enjoyed local skiing and restaurants. We’re cooks and the kitchen was well equipped to prepare holiday meals. I wholly recommend this home, and I’m very grateful to the hosts.

Amazing place, from top to bottom. Beautiful, immaculate, contemporary interior, very tasteful design, top of the line fixtures and appliances. Very secluded and nestled in the woods, yet only about 5 minutes away from the Y. Very spacious. April was nothing short of responsive and friendly. Even left us a nice gift. Also, a gorgeous Christmas tree in the living room. We absolutely love the place in every way.

Kid friendly house with gates for the stairs that came in clutch. Beautiful backyard, we stayed there for hours! Garage came in handy with the cold weather! High tech Appliances . My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our time on Echo View Dr. The location was close enough to everything but gave us the feeling of being tucked away in nature. We were surrounded by so much beauty and the chalet provided everything we needed to relax and enjoy our time away. The kitchen was well-stocked with everything we needed. The bedrooms and main areas were beautifully decorated and the beds were so comfortable! We hiked around the area but also enjoyed playing Scrabble and putting together the puzzles provided. And I thoroughly enjoyed reading on the back deck! We loved everything and will definitely be back!

If this place is available, just book it. It's a bit more expensive than others in the area, but worth it. The house is well appointed to accommodate 6 adults, and has a wonderful deck and backyard. My team and I used the house as our homebase while I swam Lake Tahoe and it was perfect. Great common space, comfortable bed, fantastic kitchen. And they were SO responsive - the coffee maker wasn't working on the first day and they had a new one there within an hour of me letting them know! Really great experience.

We had a wonderful stay at April's Place for Labor Day Weekend. It was very spacious, had an incredible view, and was very clean. It was private yet close enough to all South Lake Tahoe had to offer. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook breakfast one of the days we stayed in, lots of extra towels and linens. Our stay was two adult couples, and the house ideally suited the four of us. I would definitely recommend it!

This was our 1st time at Lake Tahoe. My family of 5 had a great stay. The house was well furnished and we had everything we needed in the bathrooms and kitchen. The 2 teenagers enjoyed their own rooms and our 10 year enjoyed the sofa. Location was very convenient, but still quiet and away from the hustle and bustle. Being from Texas, we were surprised there was no ac (even though that was stated) but it did not matter, as we were all comfortable at night. The outdoor furniture was a nice addition and also the Bluetooth speaker. We would definitely return to this house if we ever come back to Tahoe!

We really enjoyed our stay here! The cabin is located at the edge of the forest with stunning views. There's a nice balcony to enjoy the view and hang out. The entire cabin is in great shape, and very nicely decorated. The rooms are spacious, the kitchen is large and well stacked with pots and pans and anything you might need. The cabin matches the photos and descriptions. We had a great time, and plan to come back again!

First off, my family absolutely enjoyed this location. It is just a few minutes away from the Lake and everything else. The view was breathtaking. It was exactly the vacation we needed. The host was quick to respond, too! The only minor issues (if you’d even call them that) were that the deck furniture was not the same as the photos, there was no firepit (as pictured) but the host let us know fires were prohibited anyway. Also, it was cool outside but we could not figure out the temperature control. So, we just dealt with room temperature and when we got hot we opened the window. We didn’t even bother the host about it. Lastly, if at the end of the day you want to watch a movie with family in the living room, the only app you can watch on the TV is Netflix. In the master bedroom upstairs more apps are accessible. To end on a positive, we left two pairs of shoes on accident. The host informed us immediately and sent us our belongings with no hesitation. Check out was quick too!

Beautiful house ! All the details in the house make this place feel like home but better , the view is great , host was super responsive and helpful with a small issue we had with the wifi . Everything is really clean and organized . Would definitely come back.

The property was even more beautiful than the pictures, and the views were spectacular. Everything we needed was there. It felt private but was not far from everything in town. The host was very responsive--got back to us within minutes. We would definitely stay there again.

I’m back in san diego out of the most recent snow storms and already miss the spectacular mountain views, the copious amounts of snow, the well-appointed house w/cool silverware & every necessary supply, the comfortable beds & great bathrooms. April & staff were incredible, especially thru the storm when they had to deal with their own storm-related issues. They were super responsive from needing placemats & pot holders (which were immediately ordered & delivered), to having the driveway & walkway plowed (several times) to extending my stay while roads were impassible. I cannot say enough about the house, the hosting services, the overall experience. We absolutely loved it. Can’t wait to come back.

Head and shoulders above any tahoe rental i've seen before, and i've seen a lot over the years! The quality of the house & its fit out is amazing. The views of echo peak are incredible - the photos don't capture it. The house has been very tastefully remodeled - the modern elegant styling is beautiful and quite unique for the area. Much higher quality appliances, cookware, furniture etc than is typical. April was a super responsive host. Cant recommend it enough, perfect for a long stay / wfh.

Great home that feels away from it all yet convenient to great hiking, the lake, grocery stores and all Tahoe has to offer.Magnificent view of the snowcapped mountains, and bright and sunny from anywhere in the house. The kitchen has everything you need. and the beds are comfy. April is the best host we have ever experienced and responded and anticipated our every need. We will be back!.

Well equipped kitchen with pots pans, blankets etc nice peaceful location. great host & very attentive. Would love to stay again.
